How to uninstall OpenSpec

If I decide that OpenSpec is not my way to deal with a certain project, how do I remove it from Agent CLIs? Specifically, how do I:

• Remove spec files (or directories) from a project
• Remove spec instructions from various Agent files
• Remove command from Agent CLI such as Claude Code or Codex

In README.md I'm only seeing installation guide. There should also be an uninstallation guide.

Hey, we'll try and have an official install process soon. But really you need to do about 3 things.

1. Delete the /openspec/* folder
2. Delete any openspec slash commands
3. Delete the openspec section in either AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md

Closing as resolved by the docs overhaul (#1237). There is now a step-by-step Uninstalling section in docs/installation.md (remove the global package, optionally remove the openspec/ directory and generated tool files, with notes on what is worth keeping) plus a FAQ entry pointing to it.

We are of course sorry to see anyone reach for that particular page.
