Full access to your own Telegram account from Kimi (Desktop / Work) via Telethon (MTProto): read chats and channels, send and reply to messages, interact with bots, download media, manage groups, and much more.
Unlike the Bot API, this plugin signs in as you, so it can do anything you can do in the Telegram app: read your chats, channels and groups, reply, forward, react, pin, create polls, send files, run inline bot queries, manage groups/channels, drafts, contacts, and more.
- Reading: list dialogs (with unread filters), message history with pagination, global/per-chat search, chat info, participants, contacts, pinned messages, drafts.
- Messaging: send, reply, edit, delete, forward, reactions, polls, markdown, silent and scheduled messages.
- Media: send photos/videos/audio/documents/voice notes, download media from any message.
- Bots: send commands to bots, list bot commands, inline queries and inline result clicks.
- Management: create groups/channels, invite/kick members, set title/description/photo, join/leave, mute, archive, block users.
- Account: profile (name, bio, @username), session status.
- Proxy support: MTProto / SOCKS5 / HTTP proxies for networks that block Telegram.
Safety: every write operation requires explicit confirmation; secrets (api_hash, login codes, 2FA password, session) are never printed or logged.
git clone https://github.com/FlacH7/kimi-telegram-plugin.git
cd kimi-telegram-pluginIn a Kimi conversation, just ask:
"Register this local plugin in my personal market:
<absolute path to this repo>"
The agent validates and registers it. Then open Kimi's Plugins page → 「个人」 (Personal) tab → click + on "Telegram". No restart needed.
python -m pip install telethon cryptg python-socks(or run bash setup.sh)
Ask the agent: "connect my Telegram account". It will walk you through:
- Get a free
api_id/api_hashat https://my.telegram.org/apps (log in with your phone number → API development tools → create an app; the Short name must be 5–32 chars, lowercase letters and numbers only). - Enter the code Telegram sends to your app.
- Enter your 2FA password if two-step verification is enabled.
The session is stored locally (~/.kimi-work/auth/telegram/) — login is one-time.
Network blocks Telegram? The plugin supports MTProto/SOCKS5 proxies:
set-proxy --proxy "tg://proxy?server=...&port=443&secret=...". MTProto proxies cannot decrypt your traffic — it stays end-to-end encrypted with Telegram.
- "Do I have unread messages?"
- "Summarize the last 20 messages of the work group"
- "Reply to Mary that I'll be there in 10 minutes"
- "What's new in channel X?"
- "Download the PDF from chat Y"
- "Send /start to @somebot"
