Stake Weighted Voting Beta

This is the beta release of our stake weighted voting system, running on the Bitshares blockchain.

To use this release, install the app, and load your Bitshares wallet backup into https://bitshares.followmyvote.com/ (or host your own wallet; get the source here). With the wallet open in your browser, grant the wallet permission to handle web+bts links (In Chrome, click the overlapping diamonds icon on the right side of your address bar; in Firefox, you should see a prompt when you browse to the wallet), then open the voting app. The voting app will launch your wallet in a new tab; leave this tab open while you use the app, as that tab is the app's interface to the blockchain.

Installation instructions:

• Mac: Download the application below, and either copy it to your Applications, or run it directly from the disk image
• Linux: On any distro which supports the Snappy package system, run sudo snap install --edge stakeweightedvoting.

Initial Alpha

This is the initial alpha of our Stake-Weighted Voting System. It supports publishing contests, voting on contests, and a basic tally algorithm using a Bitshares or Graphene blockchain. It is recommended to only use this release on a testing blockchain; we do not yet support use on the Bitshares main blockchain.
