Forrest Technologies Homebrew Tap

Homebrew formulae and casks for For-Rest — the local-first, code-first API workbench.

Install

brew install --cask forrest-technologies/tap/for-rest

For-Rest is currently distributed unsigned (no Apple Developer certificate yet), so macOS Gatekeeper blocks the first launch. Approve it once with:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/For-Rest.app

or right-click For-Rest.app in /Applications and choose Open. (Homebrew 6 removed the old --no-quarantine flag.)

Upgrade

The cask tracks the latest GitHub release. To update:

brew reinstall --cask for-rest

Uninstall

brew uninstall --cask for-rest

Add --zap to also remove local app data.
