a race being rescheduled after its event started seemed to mess up event management

bydey vs willi was scheduled, and that discord event got started, and then they rescheduled it. this didn't end the ongoing event, and... i wasn't looking closely enough to be 100% confident on this but i think it also didn't create the new event until after i manually ended the ongoing one.
