DCAI 300-640 Study Guide

A free, single-page, original study guide for the Cisco Implementing Cisco Data Center AI Infrastructure (300-640 DCAI) v1.0 exam — a concentration exam for CCNP Data Center.

Live site: https://frankellydeleon.github.io/dcai-study-sheet/

What this is

An independently authored, exam-focused reference that follows the official 300-640 DCAI blueprint (v1.0, dated 2025-11-05) domain by domain. Every numbered objective and every named sub-topic in the blueprint has its own expandable card containing:

  • A concise overview and a technically deep explanation
  • A components/data-flow description with a purpose-built inline SVG diagram
  • Design/operational tradeoffs
  • A practical, exam-style scenario
  • Exam takeaways and a common misconception
  • Inline source links plus a full bibliography

The site also includes a blueprint coverage matrix mapping every objective and sub-topic to its section anchor, domain-weight overview, search/filter, expand/collapse controls, deep-link anchors (e.g. #s21), print styles, keyboard navigation, and a light/dark theme.

What this is not

This is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reviewed by Cisco Systems, Inc. Cisco, UCS, Nexus, Intersight, APIC, and related names are trademarks of Cisco. This guide is not a substitute for official Cisco training, documentation, or the official exam blueprint, and it does not include or reproduce any proprietary Cisco courseware, exam questions, or copyrighted third-party study material. Information-architecture inspiration (a single scrolling page with a domain-weight overview and expandable objective cards) was drawn from community study-sheet layouts in general; all wording, code, diagrams, and content on this site are original.

Cisco's AI product lineup (AI PODs, AI Canvas, Nexus Hyperfabric AI, Nexus Dashboard, APIC, Intersight) evolves quickly. Objectives that reference these products are flagged with a "Verify current details" badge — always confirm current capabilities against Cisco's live documentation before an exam attempt or a production design decision.

Using this guide

  1. Open the live site (link above) or index.html directly in a browser — no build step, server, or install is required.
  2. Use the left sidebar (or the menu button on mobile) to jump to any domain or objective, or use the search box to filter objectives by keyword.
  3. Expand/collapse individual cards, or use "Expand all" / "Collapse all".
  4. Deep-link directly to an objective with a URL fragment, e.g. index.html#s32 for objective 3.2.
  5. Use the coverage matrix (top of the page) to confirm every blueprint sub-topic is covered and to jump straight to its section.
  6. Toggle light/dark theme with the sun/moon button in the header; the choice is remembered on your device.

The page works fully offline once downloaded and prints cleanly (all cards expand automatically for print/PDF export).

Repository structure

index.html Single-page site: all domains, objectives, and content
styles.css Original stylesheet (no frameworks, no build step)
script.js Interaction layer: theme, search, expand/collapse, nav, etc.
favicon.svg Site icon (inline SVG, no external assets)
social-card.svg Source for the Open Graph / Twitter social preview image
social-card.png 1200x630 rasterized social preview (generated from the SVG
above with `sips -s format png social-card.svg --out
social-card.png` on macOS; regenerate after editing the SVG)
validate.js Dependency-free Node.js structural validation script

There is no build step. index.html, styles.css, script.js, favicon.svg, and social-card.png are the site as deployed to GitHub Pages.

Validating changes

After editing content, run the dependency-free validator (Node.js standard library only — no npm install required):

node validate.js

It checks:

  • All required blueprint objective anchors (s11–s44) exist
  • No duplicate id attributes anywhere in the page
  • Every internal href="#..." link resolves to a real anchor
  • Basic HTML structure (doctype, required tags, balanced structural tags)
  • Absence of obvious placeholder/stub text
  • The coverage matrix lists every blueprint sub-objective
  • script.js has valid JavaScript syntax (node --check)
  • Heuristic checks that discourage horizontal overflow at mobile widths

Exit code 0 means all checks passed.
