What was wrong

Publishing a changelog with a new slug flashed the whole editor. onSubmit in changelog-editor.tsx applies the slug to the collection optimistically, then awaits tx.isPersisted.promise, and only then navigates. The window between the two is the entire save round trip (RPC + refetch).

For that whole window the row already answers to the new slug while the URL still names the old one. The route's slug-filtered live query matched nothing, so it rendered "Changelog not found" — unmounting the editor (ProseKit, sidebar, category field, everything) and remounting it once the URL caught up.

Reproduced in the browser against the built app with a DOM probe: data-slot="empty-title" seen, provider unmount, ~300 ms later a fresh mount.

The fix

apps/web/src/routes/_dashboard/$organizationId/_dashboard-layout/changelog/edit/$changelogSlug.tsx

  • Match the slug against the workspace's rows instead of filtering the query by it. A query filtered by the old slug structurally cannot return the row that just left that slug. Keying on the workspace keeps the query stable across the navigation to the new slug. The collection is already workspace-scoped, so this is not a wider read, and (organizationId, slug) is unique in the database.
  • Remember which row a URL slug resolved to. While the URL still names the slug it resolved under, keep rendering that row, so a rename the page itself started never drops the editor. The allowance expires as soon as the URL names another slug — a genuinely missing entry still renders "Changelog not found".
  • key={changelog.id} on ChangelogEditorProvider. The form no longer unmounts on its own when moving between changelogs, so a different row must still get a fresh form and a fresh asset-upload scope; a rename of the same row must not.

Tests

New e2e/tests/changelog-editor.spec.ts: creates a draft, opens it, watches the DOM through a publish that renames the slug, and asserts the route's empty state never renders and that the editor still shows the title afterwards.

  • Fails on main: locator('html') carries data-changelog-editor-empty-state="seen".
  • Passes on this branch, as does changelog-rss.spec.ts, which publishes under a new slug.

Verification

  • pnpm check: every task passes except oxfmt on two untracked docs files that are not part of this branch (docs/changelog/launch.md, docs/posts/custom-domains.md), left alone deliberately.
  • @feeblo/web and @feeblo/e2e tsrs --noEmit, oxlint and the formatter check pass on both changed files.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Renaming a changelog no longer causes the editor to briefly display an empty state or lose the current entry. The entry remains available while its new URL is updated, and the editor continues to show “Changelog not found” when no matching entry exists. A different URL slug does not display the previously opened changelog.

Publishing with a new slug flashed the editor. The save writes the new slug
into the collection first — optimistically, on the click — and only then
navigates, and it waits out the whole save round trip (the RPC and the refetch
behind `isPersisted`) in between. For that long the row already answered to the
new slug while the URL still named the old one, the route's slug-filtered live
query matched nothing, and the page rendered "Changelog not found". That
unmounted the editor — ProseKit, the sidebar, the lot — and remounted it once
the URL caught up, which is the flash.

A query filtered by the slug cannot hand back the row that just left that slug,
so the route now matches the slug against the workspace's rows and remembers
which row a slug resolved to. While the URL still names the slug it resolved
under, the editor keeps rendering that row; the allowance expires as soon as
the URL names another slug, so an entry that really is missing still says so.
The provider gains a key on the row id because the form no longer unmounts on
its own between two separate changelogs: a new row must still get a fresh form
and asset-upload scope, a rename of the same row must not.

The new e2e case watches the DOM through a publish that renames the slug and
fails on the previous route (`data-changelog-editor-empty-state="seen"`).

Walkthrough

The changelog editor resolves rows from organization-scoped query results and retains the resolved row during a slug change. The provider is keyed by changelog ID. An end-to-end test checks that publishing under a new slug preserves the editor without showing an empty state.

Add a mount-identity check to the slug-rename test.

The test checks the empty-state marker and the title value. It does not check whether the editor instance survived the rename. A provider remount that restores the saved title passes both checks. Under the current code, the route keys ChangelogEditorProvider by changelog.id, so a same-row rename keeps the provider and its editorScope. If that key changed to the slug, this spec would still pass. Add an assertion that the editor instance persists across the publish, for example with a DOM marker that is set before publishing and checked after it, on an element the editor keeps across the save.

Review follow-ups on the rename fix.

The route recorded which row a URL slug resolved to by writing a ref during
render. A render React discards would have kept that write, so the page could
end up following a row from a render it never committed. It is now state
derived during render instead, which React takes back with the render it
discards. It cannot loop: `(organizationId, slug)` is unique, so once recorded
the same slug keeps resolving to the same row and the update condition goes
false. No effect — the fallback reads the resolution in the same render that
needs it, so a commit-phase write would open the very window this fixes.

The e2e case now also tags the form the editor renders and requires that same
node to survive the publish. The empty-state probe could only see the page
leave; everything the remaining assertions read is restored by a remount, so
they would pass on a page that tore down and came back. The tag sits on a node
that survives a save but not a remount, and it fails on main by itself
(`toHaveCount` resolved to 0).

Verified: the case passes here and fails on main's route on the instance
assertion alone; changelog-editor, changelog-rss and changelog-notifications
(7 tests) pass; @feeblo/web and @feeblo/e2e typecheck, oxlint and oxfmt pass.

Update the resolution when the matched row changes.

If row X leaves a slug and row Y takes it, matched selects Y but resolved still stores X. If Y then leaves that slug, the fallback displays X as Y’s editor. Compare matched.id as well as changelogSlug before retaining the resolution. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Two commits from main: the agent-ready API/webmcp surface (#218) and the
changelog editor staying mounted across a slug rename (#220).

One conflict, in the changelog edit route. Main reworked the entry lookup for
the rename case and no longer keeps a second `changelogQuery` — the page reads
`changelogsQuery` and derives the row from it. Resolved by keeping main's
imports and applying the 1.0 error split to the query that now exists:
`changelogsQuery.isError` becomes `isLiveQueryFailed(changelogsQuery)`, the
same translation used by every other live-query error screen in this tree.
Neither commit from main touches TanStack DB, so the rest of the migration
merges unchanged.

`pnpm check` 32/32 on the merge result.

Brings in #218 (agent-ready API and dashboard) and #220 (changelog editor
remount). Two conflicts:

- `apps/server/src/http/agent-discovery.ts` — main renamed the `auth.md`
document's title and reworded its opening line; the merge keeps main's
title and the branch's two-credential framing, since the MCP surface no
  longer accepts only a key.
- `apps/web/src/routeTree.gen.ts` — regenerated rather than hand-merged, so
  main's new routes (`auth.md`, `sitemap.xml`, `.well-known/*`) and this
  branch's `/oauth/{consent,select-workspace}` are both present.

The four findings from the last review round are satisfied by this merge
rather than by a change here: main's SEP-1649 card already declares the key
header as `isRequired`/`isSecret` in `remotes`, `makeHttpCorsMiddleware`
already answers a wildcard preflight (including `If-None-Match`) for the
public discovery paths only, the Accept parser already lowercases parameter
names, and the dashboard catalog already serves
`application/ai-catalog+json`.
