Repository had no web content — only a README and LICENSE. This adds the initial index.html GitHub Pages site for tracking U.S. Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS) cases.

What's included

• Overview stats — total cases (850+), CFR (~35%), states affected (34), first outbreak year, primary virus strain and reservoir host
• Cases by state table — all 34 reporting states with confirmed case counts, proportional bar visualization, and estimated deaths (CDC data, 1993–2022)
• Historical trends — annual case bar chart (1993–2022) and top-10 states horizontal bar chart, both via Chart.js CDN
• Clinical stages — four-phase symptom breakdown: incubation → prodromal → cardiopulmonary → recovery
• Prevention guidelines — indoor and outdoor/camping checklists
• Resources — links to CDC, WHO, NIH/NIAID, ProMED, and USDA

Implementation notes

• Fully self-contained single HTML file (inline CSS + JS, no build step)
• Sticky nav with smooth-scroll anchors for each section
• Chart.js loaded from CDN; all data is hardcoded from publicly available CDC surveillance reports
