fix(review): classify host-echoed materializations as first contact - #3383
Conversation
An OpenCode host persists the transport plugin's mutated Task argument -- the complete Go-issued materialization -- into its own transcript. When a review Task never executes, the driver model's next collection attempt re-types that transcript entry instead of the short contract binding frame, and the copy always drifts: the field occurrence lost whitespace inside the embedded result schema and duplicated a regex alternative. The transport treated the materialization marker as proof of Go authorship and made byte inequality terminal, so those echoes were refused before launch with `opencode_review_transport_binding_invalid` and the reviewer slot had no caller-side exit. Byte equality stays exact and now classifies rather than admits: only the exact Go-issued bytes are a re-interception whose completion belongs to the issuing relay. Anything else is an ordinary host-authored first-contact frame, materialized from live authority and captured here. Nothing is loosened -- the reviewer child already received only the Go rebuild, and every echoed byte was discarded with the incoming prompt. The cross-lane opencode lane gains a private lineage that drives the real plugin through both calls: materialize, leave the slot uncaptured, then replay a drifted echo and require durable capture through Go-canonical bytes. The harness grows a materialize-only mode for the first call.
📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe OpenCode transport now accepts marked prompts with byte drift, rebuilds provider prompts from Go-owned authority, and limits pass-through to exact matches. Transport tests and a cross-lane host-echo scenario validate capture behavior and harness support for materialize-only execution. ChangesOpenCode host-echo handling

Pull request overview
Fixes an OpenCode transport wedge where a host-echoed (LLM-drifted) copy of a Go-issued provider materialization was incorrectly treated as a re-interception and rejected terminally, preventing reviewer collection from ever launching again.
Changes:
- Reclassifies materialization frames so only byte-exact Go-issued bytes are treated as re-interceptions (pass-through); any drifted echo is treated as first-contact and rebuilt/captured.
- Adds deterministic coverage for the host-echo scenario (including injected/echoed bytes being discarded) and pins pass-through to exact byte equality.
- Extends the crosslane hook harness to support a “materialize-only then dispose” path to reproduce the field two-call sequence.

🌐 Web query:
In Node.js, can process.exit() immediately after console.log() truncate stdout when stdout is a pipe?
💡 Result:
Yes, calling process.exit immediately after console.log can truncate stdout when stdout is a pipe [1][2][3]. In Node.js, writes to process.stdout are sometimes asynchronous [1][3]. When the output destination is a pipe, these writes often occur over multiple ticks of the event loop [1][3]. Because process.exit terminates the process synchronously and immediately, it forces the process to exit before any pending asynchronous writes can be completed, resulting in data loss [1][3]. The official Node.js documentation explicitly warns against this practice, noting that it is a common misuse that can lead to truncated output [1][3]. To avoid this, you should avoid calling process.exit explicitly [1][3]. Instead: 1. Set the process.exitCode property to the desired exit code [1][3]. 2. Allow the process to exit naturally by letting the event loop empty [1][3]. 3. If you must ensure all output is written, you can sometimes work around this by making the stream blocking (e.g., using process.stdout._handle.setBlocking(true) on platforms where it is available), though this is generally discouraged and platform-dependent [4][5]. Relying on process.exit to flush streams is not supported and is considered unreliable [6].

Allow stdout to drain before exiting.
runHookCase captures stdout with exec.Command.Output(). When stdout is a pipe, console.log() can write asynchronously, and process.exit(0) can truncate the JSON result. Set process.exitCode = 0, or await the process.stdout.write() callback before exiting.

…rialization-mismatch fix(review): classify host-echoed materializations as first contact
Closes #3382.
The OpenCode host persists the Go-issued materialization into its session transcript; when a review Task never executes, the driver model re-types that entry instead of the short binding frame, and the copy is never byte-exact. The transport classified that echo as a re-interception and refused it terminally, wedging the reviewer slot with no caller-side exit.
Byte equality stays exact and now classifies rather than admits: only the exact Go bytes are a re-interception; anything else is an ordinary first-contact frame materialized from live authority.
session.providerPromptwas already replaced unconditionally with the Go rebuild before the child sees a prompt, so the rebuild is what keeps caller bytes out, not the equality check.Verified in the field: with this fix the OpenCode runtime completed a full RDD cycle including detection, a bounded correction, targeted validation, an approved receipt, and pre-commit and pre-push gates allowing.
RDD receipt: review-5fa8aeb900375909 (approved, high, 4R, no blocking findings).
