💡 Vulnerability: A public debug endpoint (
src/app/debug/route.ts) exposed sensitive environment variables, including the first 60 characters of theMONGODB_URIand internal status flags, without any authentication. This could lead to database compromise.🎯 Impact: If accessed in production, an attacker could extract database credentials (username and password from the URI) and gain unauthorized access to the database.
🔧 Fix: Completely removed the debug route.
✅ Verification: Verified that the file is removed and that the application builds successfully without errors. Added a critical learning journal entry.
