I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! π¨ Severity: HIGH
π‘ Vulnerability: Information Disclosure in the
/api/uploadendpoint. The server was leaking sensitive backend details in its 500 error responses, including the explicit presence or absence of specific Cloudinary environment variables, and detailed third-party service errors such as stack traces and HTTP codes from Cloudinary.π― Impact: An attacker could use this exposed information to map out the application's backend architecture and configurations, potentially leading to further, more targeted attacks against the infrastructure or the Cloudinary account itself.
π§ Fix: Sanitized the Cloudinary configuration check and the exception catch block. These blocks now return a generic "Internal server error" to the client, while continuing to securely log the detailed errors to the server console for debugging.
β Verification: Verify that failed uploads or missing environment variables now return a generic 500 "Internal server error" without exposing stack traces or configuration keys in the JSON response payload.
