Summary

• Parse the F-Droid index-v1 format correctly: apps is a JSON array, packages is a map, and display metadata is read from localized app fields. Stream the large index and retain only the newest APK compatible with the device.
• Merge F-Droid listings into Apps, Search, Games, category listings and Top Charts; add an Open-source picks shelf on Home and map F-Droid categories to Kiwi Store slugs.
• Keep first-party results responsive while F-Droid loads, and surface/log F-Droid fetch or parse failures instead of silently falling back to Kiwi-only results.
• Add JVM unit tests for the index shape, localized metadata, compatible APK selection, icon/APK URLs, category mapping and invalid apps shape.

Validation

• git diff --check passed; the unit-test fixture JSON was validated.
• Android unit tests/build were not run in this sandbox because a JDK/Android SDK is unavailable.
