Applications fails to run on Linux

Various packages should be installed before running OdfEdit on Linux.

It's currently not possible to resolve the dependencies when install on Fedora from pip:

$ pip install odfedit

ERROR: Cannot install odfedit==2.12, odfedit==2.13, odfedit==2.14, odfedit==2.15, odfedit==2.17, odfedit==2.18, odfedit==2.19, odfedit==2.20 and odfedit==2.21 because these package versions have conflicting dependencies.

The conflict is caused by:
    odfedit 2.21 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.20 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.19 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.18 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.17 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.15 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.14 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.13 depends on tkinter
    odfedit 2.12 depends on tkinter

Additionally, some packages in these conflicts have no matching distributions available for your environment:
    tkinter

To fix this you could try to:
1. loosen the range of package versions you've specified
2. remove package versions to allow pip to attempt to solve the dependency conflict

On Linux, tkinter can't be install from pip and must be installed from a binary package, e.g. with sudo dnf install python3-tkinter on Fedora.

The install.sh script shouldn't attempt to install tkinter from pip.

This is maybe true for Linux Fedora only. With Linux Ubuntu there is no such issue.
The alternative solution is to run the executable provided for Linux.

I regret to inform you that it's also broken on Ubuntu 26.04:

So I guess there is something wrong with the version requirement on tkinter? I'm not sure about Python packaging.

You are right, I have just found in my notes that I used the following instruction to install tkinter in my Linux Ubuntu virtual machine : sudo apt install python3-tk
