- Decompress blocks as exact raw deflate first, with zlib as an exact-length fallback; reject truncated input, extra decoded bytes and trailing data beyond index-alignment padding. - Feed each compressed block to the inflater in bulk and step byte by byte only through the permitted padding tail, restoring prior throughput (real 176 MB sample: 3.07s -> 0.56s median). - Reject undersized stored blocks and final index offsets that do not match the file size; remove owned temp output on unexpected errors. - Report overflowing header values as InvalidHeaderValues in verification. - Disable MSBuild node reuse in release gate scripts so stale nodes cannot fail gate builds with access-denied errors. - Add the synthetic CSO roundtrip audit script.
