What

Syncs the hal0.dev website docs and landing page with the actual v0.8.2b4 system.

Changes (5 commits)

  1. MCP auth interaction — clarify how --auth=basic flag interacts with MCP host allowlist
  2. v0.8 blog post — new "What's new in v0.8" post, mark v0.7 post as historical
  3. Version bump + auth posture — index from v0.7.x to v0.8.x beta; 3 pages updated from "no built-in auth" to "auth opt-in at install, off by default" (security.mdx, architecture.mdx, getting-started/index.mdx)
  4. Provider stack + roadmap — Qwen3-TTS replaces Kokoro in five-provider stack; roadmap security section says "opt-in auth" not "no auth"; remove "first beta" tag; ROCm promoted to default GPU path
  5. Voice docs — document Qwen3-TTS (ROCm/GPU) alongside Kokoro (CPU) as TTS options

Verify

npm run build # 52 pages, 0 errors, 0 warnings, 4.43s

Update connect-mcp.mdx caution box to explain that when --auth=basic is
active, MCP mounts sit behind the same Caddy instance and inherit TLS +
basic_auth gating. The default (no-auth) posture is still the first
sentence, but the relationship with the opt-in flag is now explicit.

Ref: hal0/docs/concepts/security.mdx lines 102-105 (monorepo backend)
… banner

- New post: what's-new-in-the-v0-8-line.mdx covering Stacks, voice, Hermes
autonomy, unprivileged API, capability fallback, and q8_0 KV
- Updated v0.7 post with Historical-post Aside linking to v0.8 post
- Synced changelog from hal0 v0.8.0-beta.1
…osture across docs

- getting-started/index.mdx: v0.7.x beta → v0.8.x beta, slot list updated
to match live v0.8.2b4 (agent, code, img, npu, rerank, tts, utility)
- getting-started/index.mdx: auth Aside fixed — 'No built-in auth or TLS'
→ 'Auth is opt-in — trusted LAN by default' with --auth=basic flag
- architecture.mdx: same auth posture correction
- security.mdx: frontmatter description + opening paragraph updated to
  reflect opt-in auth (not absent)
- changelog.md: synced from v0.8.0-beta.1 source

Verified against live system: 7 slots active, models endpoint returns
50 models via hal0-api on port 8080.
