PRD Phase 2. A second bot (nova-discovery-poc) that is Discovery by configuration, no shared-runtime change - proving "type = config". - Ranking engine (lib/discovery/ranker.ts, R2.3): elicit -> constraints -> hard-filter (stock/budget/must-haves) -> soft-score -> ranked, justified shortlist. Rubric over specs, not ML. Guardrails in code: out-of-stock is never recommended (Probe Hemang-ai#5), budget is a hard ceiling, water-resistant is never "waterproof". Unit-tested; two profiles -> different rankings (Probe Hemang-ai#8). - 24-SKU structured audio catalog (lib/discovery/catalog.ts, R2.2), ingested as knowledge for factual Q&A; compare cites both SKUs (Probe Hemang-ai#9). - Pre-transaction tools (R2.4): search_catalog_ranked, check_availability, compare_products, add_to_cart (stub) under app/api/discovery - no refund/ticket tools. - Conversion instrumentation (R2.7): needs_elicited / shortlist_delivered / compare_run / add_to_cart events (lib/analytics/agent-events.ts); analytics primary metric follows kpiProfile (Probe Hemang-ai#7). Support gets support.resolved. - Part-3 Discovery eval suite (R2.8): evals/discovery-poc, 10/10 including a leakage probe. The runner now targets any bot/suite (--cases/--key). The dental answer-key expanded to all 50 SKUs and two over-strict probes relaxed to the friendly-decline behavior. Verified end to end: clarifier-before-recommend, ranked justified shortlist, out-of-stock excluded with an in-stock alternative, waterproof not upgraded, compare, add-to-cart with the success event.
