Screenreader

For this project i'll need to find out how screenreaders work. To start this journey, I decided to look into the default screenreader on my windows machine. To make the test valid I blindfolded myself and went through the manual. It was hard getting used to a very boring voice that tells me something I could see if I wanted to, but for research I'm prepared to do anything!

I was actually suprised at how well the manual went through the explanation. The screenreader has a "screenreader button" which is either CAPS LK or INS. Combining one of these keys with another key will give you certain commmands. For example, if you want to turn on the screenreader you can press Windows + CTRL + Enter. Microsoft has a whole page filled with commands like this: https://dequeuniversity.com/screenreaders/narrator-keyboard-shortcuts#narrator-basics

One thing that really annoyed me was this sentence (translated): "below you'll see one line". What do you mean see? I'm blind!
