unable to stop import process

dear Janis,
first of all i want to thank you for that plugin. it really helps me a lot.

i wanted to ask for an implementation for 2 things which are related
1.) if i start to import i cannot stop it, until it ends.
2.) please, please implement a check, if any newer entries are made and thus just import the new ones instead of starting the whole process again.
