A batteries-included desktop GUI for Claude Code, plus a Claude-style chat client

JClaude is a desktop + web client modeled on the official Claude desktop app. Its main goal is to make Claude Code usable without a terminal — install and go.
- Bundled Claude Code — the installer ships its own copy of Claude Code, so you don't need to install Node, the CLI, or any environment yourself. The Code workspace uses the bundled copy by default.
- Chat workspace — a faithful clone of the Claude chat experience: streaming, Markdown / code blocks, thinking blocks, adaptive thinking, Projects, rename / archive / pin conversations.
- Code workspace — Claude Code wrapped in a GUI: real terminal, file browser, web preview, diff / plan / task panels, usage stats.
- Experts & Skills — built-in expert roles (with avatars / descriptions /
system prompts), plus auto-discovery and in-app management of local
SKILL.mdskills from Claude / Codex. - Themes & i18n — light / dark / auto plus two kid themes (boy / girl); Chinese and English.
| Module | Description |
|---|---|
| 🤖 Bundled Claude Code | Install and go; switch between bundled / system-installed / custom path in Settings; version-locked, auto-update off by default, uses an isolated config dir so your system install is untouched |
| 💬 Chat | Streaming, Markdown rendering, thinking blocks, adaptive thinking, 6 permission modes, conversation / project management, resume |
| 🛠️ Code workspace | Built-in terminal (xterm.js), file tree, web preview, diff / plan / task panels, session grouping & filtering, real usage stats (overview + per-model) |
| 🧑🏫 Experts & Skills | 17 built-in expert roles (coding / work / life / study / finance…); auto-scan & manage SKILL.md under ~/.claude, ~/.codex, ~/.jclaude |
| 🎨 Themes | 5 options: light / auto / dark / boy (electric blue) / girl (cherry pink) |
| 🌐 i18n | Chinese / English, full coverage (buttons, tooltips, menus, placeholders) |
| 🖥️ System integration | Custom title bar, system tray (click to toggle + right-click quick prompt), single-instance, main / worktree tags reflect real git state |
| 📦 Packaging | NSIS installer (recommended) + MSI for enterprise; full Release Runbook in AGENTS.md |
