AppImage version (1.01) crashes when using set background tool

Steps to reproduce

1. select one image or all images and then click on tools > select background color
2. select any preset color and click apply

Then the app closes without any warning.

Expected vs. actual behavior

The expected behavior: Change transparency to any preset color you have set

Actual behavior: the app just closes up and that's it.

Optional screenshots or additional context

I use Zorin OS 18, then I installed the .deb package since debian/ubuntu -based distros can use them without problem and the same function worked fine.

Thanks for reporting this. I tested the 1.0.1 AppImage and .deb on a clean Zorin OS 18.1 installation, but I couldn’t reproduce the crash. Both versions applied the background successfully.

Could you please answer these questions?

1. Does it happen with every transparent PNG/WebP or only particular images?
2. Does it also happen when applying the background to only one small image?
3. If the image isn’t private, could you attach one that causes the crash?
4. Is your Zorin installation fully updated?

Please also launch the AppImage from a terminal using the commands below:
