What to build

A single-machine connection module extracted mechanically from the app's daemon hook, with proven single-machine parity and no behaviour change. This is the prefactor that makes the machines registry possible: the extracted module owns one machine's socket, channel, cursors, transcript fold, and reconnect backoff, invocable once per machine. Demoable: the existing daemon-hook test suite passes untouched against the extraction.

Acceptance criteria

• Extraction is mechanical — no behaviour change, no feature additions
• The existing suite for the app's daemon hook passes unmodified
• The module's interface is explicit (constructed per pairing; no singleton/global socket state left behind)
• Typecheck, tests, lint all green
