MITM Connect is an open-source Windows desktop application designed to automate and simplify the MITM Domain Fronting method based on Xray-core.
The core method was originally developed by patterniha and integrated into Xray-core. The manual setup for this method is typically complex and lengthy. MITM Connect automates the entire configuration process, including background service execution, local certificate generation, system trust store installation, and system proxy management, reducing the operation to a single click.
The underlying method operates by forging the identity of the target server to receive unencrypted data from the client's browser, which is then securely forwarded to the actual server using a spoofed SNI (Server Name Indication).
To accomplish this seamlessly, the application requests Administrator Privileges upon execution. This access is strictly utilized to:
- 🔑 Generate and securely install a self-signed Root CA into the Windows Trust Store.
- 🌐 Modify Windows system proxy settings.
- ⚙️ Manage the Xray-core background process and associated network adapters.

This specific graphical client is designed exclusively for Windows. However, the underlying MITM Domain Fronting method is platform-agnostic and can be configured manually on Linux, macOS, and Android (without root). For instructions on other operating systems, refer to the upstream repository.
MITM Connect یک نرمافزار متنباز ویندوزی است که با هدف اتوماسیون و سادهسازی استفاده از متد MITM Domain Fronting بر بستر Xray-core توسعه یافته است.
متد اصلی ابتدا توسط پترنیها توسعه داده شد و سپس به هسته Xray اضافه گردید. تنظیم اولیه این متد به صورت دستی مراحل نسبتاً طولانی و پیچیدهای دارد. این نرمافزار تمام فرآیندها از جمله اجرای سرویس پسزمینه، ساخت گواهینامه (Certificate) محلی، نصب آن در سیستمعامل و تنظیم پراکسی ویندوز را به صورت خودکار انجام داده و فرآیند را به یک کلیک (روشن/خاموش) تقلیل میدهد.
نحوه کارکرد این متد به این صورت است که ابتدا هویت سرور اصلی را جعل میکند تا دیتای غیررمزنگاریشده را از مرورگر دریافت کند، سپس با یک SNI جعلی آن را به سرور اصلی میفرستد.
برای اجرای صحیح این فرآیند، برنامه در هنگام اجرا نیازمند دسترسی ادمین (Administrator) است. این دسترسی منحصراً برای موارد زیر استفاده میشود:
- 🔑 ساخت و نصب امنِ گواهینامه ریشه (Root CA) در ویندوز.
- 🌐 تغییر تنظیمات پراکسی سیستم.
- ⚙️ مدیریت هسته Xray و کنترل آداپتورهای شبکه در پسزمینه.
توجه: این متد قرار نیست کانفیگهای از کار افتادهی شما را زنده کند یا دسترسی کامل به کل اینترنت را فراهم سازد.
