release in forked repo only to incorporate latest commits

Release made on the KatanaGraph fork of the repository, in order to have a version to provide in the creation of https://github.com/conda-forge/descriptastorus-feedstock. (The original repo has tags but no corresponding releases.)

This release includes the changes up to and including baed6a5. The latest tag on the origin repo, 2.4.0, is 6 commits (17 months) behind this version of the code.
