Kkermit — Frontend Developer

 whoami

I'm a frontend developer working mostly in React, Redux and TypeScript, with a growing amount of Java and Spring on the backend. Day job is component architecture and testing strategy; evenings are Discord bots.

The thing I actually care about: code that's provable. If a component can't be tested cleanly, it's usually a design problem, not a testing problem. Most of what I ship starts as a failing test.

Currently

  • Maintaining Testify — 130+ stars, all-in-one Discord.js bot
  • Migrating the Testify stack to TypeScript
  • Learning Spring properly, not just enough to be dangerous

Happy to talk about

  • React state — when Redux earns its keep, and when it doesn't
  • Testing pyramids: Jest → RTL → Playwright
  • CI pipelines on Jenkins / GitLab / OpenShift

 Selected work

Testify
All-in-one Discord bot built on Discord.js v14 — moderation, music, economy, logging, and 400+ commands. The project I get the most issues, forks and pull requests on.
DiscordBotV14-template
A clean starting point for Discord.js v14 — handlers for both prefix and slash commands, wired up so you can delete the example and start writing features.
Testify-ui
The front end for testify.lol — dashboard and marketing site. Where most of my React and TypeScript experimenting ends up in public.
Statify
Discord bot for tracking Spotify listening stats. Written in Java deliberately — an excuse to work outside the JS ecosystem.

Make it work, make it right, make it fast — write a test for each step.
