The wrappers that ask Clang, LLD and nightly Rust for their internal timing are not platform-specific: they set environment variables and read the profiles the compilers leave behind. Passing those variables to the build and importing each profile when its process exits is all macOS needed.

Earlier revisions of this branch recorded through Endpoint Security, which is 30x more CPU and leaves a backlog after the build, and through a native Endpoint Security client, which needs an entitlement
cargo installand Homebrew formula builds can never have. Both are gone; the stack beneath this reads the kernel trace facility instead.
