TL;DR

Make the shared LVBT CLI deploy Cloudflare projects through the new cf CLI when they declare a canonical cloudflare.config.ts. Keep Wrangler support for existing projects and the small operations that cf beta cannot perform safely yet.

Overview of Changes

  • Discover one deploy target per Cloudflare app, prefer cf for projects with a canonical config, and avoid deploying a retained Wrangler mirror twice.
  • Add cloudflareConfig to the platform inventory; use cf for supported D1, R2, and migration setup while retaining an explicit inventory credential and Wrangler fallback for single-secret writes.
  • Update templates, workspace catalog, release notes, and docs for cf@1.0.0-beta.5 and the current compatible Wrangler version.
  • Cover deploy discovery, config validation, setup behavior, and legacy Wrangler projects with tests.

Validation: pnpm check passed (262 CLI tests and 79 web-platform tests). The Week Without Driving consumer independently resolved exactly one cf deploy target from its canonical config.

Follow-ups

The Week Without Driving site PR will vendor this exact commit and validate its Worker dry run. The shared package has not been published or tagged; this PR does not deploy a Worker. The cf beta still delegates part of bundling to Wrangler, and Wrangler remains the documented fallback for OAuth inventory reads and safe single-secret writes.

Use canonical cf projects for deploys and production config checks.
Keep Wrangler for legacy projects and beta operations that need it.
Pin the CLI and document account-token and login boundaries.

Require the canonical cf filename so deployment reads the same config
that preflight checks. Print TypeScript binding instructions for public
values, D1, and R2 when a project uses cloudflare.config.ts.

Clarify separate deploy, inventory, and setup credentials in the
production guide.
