project remote parser rejects repository URLs with a trailing slash

The remote parser added by #221 strips a .git suffix but not a trailing slash. A valid origin such as https://github.com/org/repo.git/ consequently fails the path regex, produces a null remote, and marks the project inventory incomplete.

Suggested direction: normalize trailing separators before stripping .git and parsing the host/path, with coverage for HTTPS and SSH-style remotes that include a trailing slash.
