OSINT Forge

OSINT Forge is a modular, open-source framework for authorized OSINT workflows on Debian and Ubuntu. Its committed v1.0 direction combines a search-first, evidence-preserving intelligence engine with a complete guided terminal interface.

Governing usability principle: If you can read, you can run OSINT Forge.

At v1.0, simply typing osint will launch the guided interface. It will walk users through creating or opening a case, adding starting information, running and monitoring recursive discovery, resolving ambiguous matches, reviewing findings, and generating the final report. Users will not need to memorize commands, know plugin names, edit data files, or manage directories.

The advanced CLI remains fully available for experienced operators, scripting, automation, and AQAD. Both interfaces use the same application services and investigation engine.

Use OSINT Forge only for lawful research. Scan infrastructure only when you own it or have explicit authorization.

Current release

v0.8.0 is the latest stable release. It adds versioned search-provider execution and offline result ingestion, deterministic correlation, source-independence analysis, contradictions, temporal assessment, separate confidence scopes, and explicit verification status.

Use the latest stable tag for real authorized work. The main branch is the active development branch.

v1.0 commitment

The full guided interface is a mandatory v1.0 release gate delivered as one cohesive implementation—not as partial v0.9.1–v0.9.9 UI releases. The advanced CLI must remain compatible and independently usable.

Current quality gate

v0.8.0 passed AQAD acceptance with 120 tests and three expected environment-gated skips, all configured validation gates, evidence-manifest verification, independent READY review, a clean isolated installation test, all 10 hosted CI and CodeQL checks, and post-install validation of eight plugins and one workflow with zero errors or warnings.
