Legacy releases predate the signed distribution contract and have no
SHA256SUMS. Treat that specific condition as not eligible so scheduled polling stays green until the first notarized release. Checksum, signature, architecture, stapling, and Gatekeeper failures for post-contract releases remain fatal.
