Claude Code sessions launched from Ghostty (non-editor terminals) are ignored #239
Claude Code sessions launched from Ghostty never show up in the island. The hooks are installed and fire correctly (every event reports success in claude --debug), the socket at ~/Library/Application Support/NotchBuddy/nb.sock is reachable, but nothing appears in Coucou.
~/Library/Logs/NotchBuddy/nb.log shows every event being dropped:
2026-10-05 14:15:08 Ignored SessionStart from ghostty (AUTOMATISATION-DES-TESTS)
2026-10-05 14:15:10 Ignored UserPromptSubmit from ghostty (AUTOMATISATION-DES-TESTS)
2026-10-05 14:15:13 Ignored Stop from ghostty (AUTOMATISATION-DES-TESTS)
2026-10-05 14:15:15 Ignored SessionEnd from ghostty (AUTOMATISATION-DES-TESTS)
Cause: in HookServer.swift, processEvent only routes Claude Code events to integration_claude when term_program or bundle_id contains vscode (or matches the Cursor bundle ID). Any other terminal falls into the else branch, which logs "Ignored" and returns. The same filter is still present on main (0.1.8).
What you expected
Claude Code sessions started from any terminal (Ghostty, Terminal.app, iTerm…) should show up on the main Claude Code pill, as the README describes ("Jump to the right terminal", "Reply in terminal").
How to reproduce
Install the Claude Code hooks from Settings.
Open Ghostty (TERM_PROGRAM=ghostty) and run claude.
Send any prompt.
Nothing appears in the island; nb.log shows Ignored … from ghostty.
Workaround: launching with TERM_PROGRAM=vscode claude makes the session appear normally.
Suggestion: route Claude Code events from unrecognized terminals to integration_claude instead of ignoring them.
#282 routes Claude Code sessions from Ghostty (and Warp, Terminal, iTerm, kitty, Alacritty, WezTerm, Hyper, Zed, cmux, Orca) to the Claude Code pill. Codex in a terminal isn't covered there yet.
