Events ignored unless terminal is VS Code (cmux, Ghostty, iTerm2 not supported) #54
Hook events from any terminal other than VS Code are dropped, so Coucou does nothing for Claude Code sessions in cmux, Ghostty, iTerm2, Terminal, etc.
What happens
HookServer.processEvent and processPermissionRequest only continue when term_program or bundle_id contains vscode. Everything else logs Ignored <event> from <terminal> in nb.log.
I run Claude Code in cmux (__CFBundleIdentifier=com.cmuxterm.app, TERM_PROGRAM=ghostty). Hooks are installed and the socket works, but the notch never shows anything.
docs/INTEGRATIONS.md lists a terminal-jump table for Terminal, iTerm2, Ghostty, Warp and others, so I expected these terminals to work.
Workaround
Prefix the hook command with TERM_PROGRAM=vscode in ~/.claude/settings.json. Events are then accepted. The terminal jump would target VS Code, not the real terminal.
Requests
Accept events from non-VS Code terminals (or add a setting to). For cmux, __CFBundleIdentifier is com.cmuxterm.app, and the jump could activate that app.
On AskUserQuestion cards, add a "Reply in terminal" button that focuses the session's terminal. The notch shows the question, but clicking an option cannot answer it, since a hook cannot return an answer. A jump button would make that clear.
Installed builds can ship an older nb-hook that prints a bare {"permissionDecision":"allow"}. Claude Code expects hookSpecificOutput, so Allow/Deny in the notch is ignored. Re-running Install hooks should replace an outdated nb-hook.
Also, the PermissionRequest hook timeout in settings.json was 10s on my install. The hook waits up to 118s, so Claude Code kills it early. INTEGRATIONS.md says decision wait + 10s.
#282 routes Claude Code sessions from cmux, Ghostty, iTerm2, Terminal and Warp (plus kitty, Alacritty, WezTerm, Hyper, Zed, Orca) to the Claude Code pill. cmux is recognised by its bundle id com.cmuxterm.app, so its TERM_PROGRAM=ghostty doesn't make it look like Ghostty.

It didn't work with warp either.
