Crash when using {author} on a CivitAI model by a deleted author #1414

Closed

Description

@SturmB

What happened?

This occurs when attempting to view the CivitAI model information on a model whose author has been deleted from CivitAI. For example, The Pit LoRA model. (I'm assuming the author was deleted; I have no proof of this except that the author's name is not on the model page on CivitAI.)

If the user changes the "File Name Pattern" field to include {author}, SM will immediately crash. And since that "File Name Pattern" field keeps the most recent pattern for every model detail page opened, the next model that is opened with a deleted author crashes SM again.

Workaround: Browse to a model with an active author account (most of them do) and modify or delete the custom "File Name Pattern."

Guess at a possible fix: Make the {author} variable (and possibly others) null-safe by using an empty string '' when the data for that variable from CivitAI is missing or null.
