Is this still happening? I have something that could be related. When I open any model card my GPU (RX 570) goes nuts:
Back out of the model card and it calms down.
This is NOT my inferencing GPU; it's just a display device. It does this regardless of any packages (Comfy or Swarm) running. No other app on my system does anything like this.
SM Logs and my systemd journal are both empty..
What happened?
Bug Description:
Since the latest update introducing dynamically loaded content from Civitai, selecting individual model cards within the Model Browser causes severe application lag. Upon clicking a model card, the UI frequently freezes or becomes entirely unresponsive. The application occasionally recovers after a significant delay, but it frequently remains locked up indefinitely, requiring a forced termination.
Expected Behavior:
Clicking a model card should smoothly transition to the model's detailed view or overlay, loading the Civitai metadata and preview images asynchronously without locking the main UI thread.
Actual Behavior:
The application experiences intense performance degradation or a complete hang upon card selection. The freeze is intermittent in its recovery—sometimes clearing up after several seconds, and other times resulting in an unrecoverable crash/deadlock.
OS: Linux (CachyOS) app-image
Hardware: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 96GB RAM, Dual-GPU setup
Steps to reproduce
Open the Model Browser.
Allow the model grid to load initially.
Click on any specific model card to open its detailed view/fetch Civitai data.
Observe immediate and massive application lag/UI freeze.
