Parts of the initial prototyping and asset organization of this project were assisted by AI tools. However, all core gameplay implementation, system integration, and architectural decisions were completed manually. Features are actively being developed and refined as the project progresses. This highlights the ability to leverage modern tools while demonstrating strong game development skills and iterative development practices.
- Developing game systems: Towers, enemies, progression, and UI with integrated persistent data
- Advanced game mechanics: Physics-based combat, status effects, upgrade trees, and resource management
- Performance optimizations: Object pooling, efficient rendering, and mobile-optimized processing
- Scalable architecture: Clear separation of data, logic, and presentation layers
- Ongoing development: Iterative implementation of game loop, animations, effects, and responsive UI
- Mobile-first approach: Touch controls with adaptive scaling and gesture support
This is a complete Godot project with four main folders:
/scenes/- Game scenes organized by system (core, objects, ui, world)/resources/- Game data files for towers, enemies, upgrades, and maps/assets/- Art assets, sprites, and audio organized by category/addons/- Custom editor tools and helper plugins
For Players:
- Select and place towers on strategic locations (
/scenes/world/) - Upgrade towers and manage resources through UI (
/scenes/ui/) - Progress through waves with scaling difficulty and unlock rewards
For Game Systems:
- Core game state managed in
/scenes/core/ - Game objects (towers, enemies, projectiles) in
/scenes/objects/ - All game data externalized in
/resources/for easy modification
For Developers:
- Modular scene organization with clear system boundaries
- Data-driven content system with
.tresresource files - Clean separation between game logic and presentation layers
