👋 Hi, I'm David

Backend & Integration Engineer based in Barcelona 🇪🇸 — building resilient integration architectures across CRMs, ERPs and legacy databases in production. Bachelor's degree in Videogame Design & Development (CITM-UPC).

My focus: systems that don't collapse under load (rate-limit protection, kill-switches), data that doesn't duplicate (idempotent sync, self-healing), and batch processes that stay fast even in high-tech-debt environments.


🔭 Currently building @ Universitat Internacional de Catalunya

  • Salesforce ↔ legacy ERP ↔ new ERP (Sigma) integration backbone
  • Led the migration of ~400GB from Salesforce to SharePoint, bringing storage from 250% over quota down to 70% in 1 month
  • Real-time monitoring with automatic kill-switches at 80% to protect production APIs during Bulk Sync
  • End-to-end automation of the university admissions process: ~50% fewer manual support tickets, 1-2h/day freed for the admissions team
  • Refactored PostgreSQL 8.3 legacy queries (iterative → optimized LEFT JOIN subqueries), eliminating timeouts on Alumni pipelines

🎮 Past — Game Engine work (CITM-UPC, team projects)

  • Ko-Fi Engine — 3D engine in C++/OpenGL/SDL built by a 10-programmer cohort. My contributions: Tooling enhancements, physics integration and performance optimizations.
  • Dune: Special Spice Ops — Game built on top of Ko-Fi Engine. My role: gameplay & UI scripting in Lua over the C++ bindings.
  • Project 19-2000 — RPG in C++ supervised by Ramon Santamaría (@raysan5, creator of raylib).
