Problem
CLI users have no low-friction way to say how a session is going. Rating well or complaining both require leaving the flow to write feedback, so almost nobody does — and the product gets no structured satisfaction signal, especially for long-context sessions where experience issues are most likely.
What changed
Adds an occasional, inline session rating prompt above the input box:
How is Kimi doing this session? (optional)with1: Bad 2: Fine 3: Good 0: Dismiss. The editor keeps focus (non-modal): a bare digit selects after a short debounce, Enter on a single digit is intercepted as a selection, Esc/0 dismisses, a 3-second undo window follows each rating, and a brief thanks line closes the flow. Typing anything else makes the prompt disappear quietly, and it never appears while the agent is working or while a prompt/approval panel is active.survey_popupnamed config served through the existing client-configs facility overrides conservative built-in defaults. Parsing tolerates bad fields individually, caching is two-layer (memory + disk, 24h TTL), and any failure falls back to defaults — so the feature is safe to ship before the backend endpoint exists.on_for_modelsgates rollout by model.feedback_survey,long_context_survey) with anappeared/responded/abandonedlifecycle joined by anappearance_id, session statistics (turn/tool-call/compaction counts, token counters, current model, permission mode, thinking effort), and a flattenedconfig_*snapshot of the exact policy that produced each appearance.
