… builds, add crash/relaunch coverage Switch every real-browser test from the real @nvidia/cloudxr SDK to MockCloudXR (npm run build:app-mock): the real SDK genuinely tries to stream against whatever's on backend_port, which is unpredictable and gives a test nothing to assert against. MockCloudXR mounts the identical App.tsx/CloudXRComponent.tsx UI with a fully deterministic, externally controllable session, and never opens a socket of its own, so minimal_mock_runtime() is gone entirely. Switch from a dev-server to a static production build (static_webxr_build()). Two real bugs made this necessary: webpack HMR re-executes a module's top-level code on live-reload, creating a second, disconnected instance of cloudxr-mock-alias.ts's activeSession that window.__mockCloudXRFail() silently bound to instead of the real running session; and <React.StrictMode> (present regardless of HMR) double-invokes effects in a dev-mode build, calling CloudXR.createSession() twice for the same reason. webpack.app-mock.js now builds in production mode. Along the way, a stale webpack persistent filesystem cache (keyed only on the config file, not source files) was found silently serving an old compiled bundle; static_webxr_build() now clears it before every build. window.__mockCloudXRFail() gains an optional `code` param: a code-less failure is "recoverable" per isRecoverable(), and CloudXRComponent.tsx auto-reconnects on those without ever showing the error banner, so forcing a real terminal error needs a code in the non-retryable range. Add two new real-browser tests: one proving the crash-trigger mechanism itself (a real, deterministic, DOM-visible error banner on demand), and one anticipatory test written against gmorgan/oob-error-relaunch (#1146) before that branch has merged here - it asserts on black-box observable recovery (a second real `am start`, a second real tab) rather than importing any private function, so it fails cleanly on that assertion today and should turn green once #1146 lands. Also add test_build_teleop_url_forwards_reliability_config_from_env, the same "write it now, let it fail until merged" idea applied to gmorgan/oob-reliability-config-wiring (#1145)'s plain env-var/string forwarding - no browser needed for that one. Per Jiwen's review feedback on #1145: client-side reconnect should just be part of CloudXRComponent's own behavior, not an opt-in gated by an env var. reconnectEnabled itself stays as a config/URL field (still read by the WebXR client and still factored into the OOB lifecycle's recovery grace period) - only the env var that could toggle it off is removed. It is now a hardcoded CLIENT_RECONNECT_DEFAULT_ENABLED = True. The attempt-count and delay knobs (TELEOP_CLIENT_RECONNECT_MAX_ATTEMPTS/_DELAY_MS) are unchanged. OobLifecycle becomes the single owner of OOB browser recovery: the CDP monitor (_monitor_teleop_error_banner) reports terminal client errors via an on_terminal_error callback instead of acting on them itself. OobLifecycle reacts the same way it already reacts to a hub-reported terminalEventId - one trusted same-tab CONNECT first, falling back to the existing preserving-browser path, which escalates to a full _automate() bootstrap after its own bounded grace. In USB-local mode a CDP-observed terminal error is treated like a USB transport disruption instead, since host-owned substrate needs repairing before any browser fallback can be trusted. Also includes two review fixes: _same_tab_connect() resets connect_dispatched on a failed same-tab CONNECT outcome (previously left it permanently stuck True, blocking the grace-expiry bootstrap), and attach_existing_oob_tab()'s shielded forward-task await now lives inside the same try/except that removes the adb forward, so a cancellation during that await also triggers cleanup. Rebased onto #1145's current tip (gmorgan/oob-reliability-config-wiring) after #1145's history was rewritten; squashed from the original 14-commit PR history to avoid replaying commits whose content already landed on #1145 under different SHAs during an earlier cleanup rebase. Forwards TELEOP_CLIENT_RECONNECT_MAX_ATTEMPTS/_DELAY_MS and the stream-attach/warm-up timeout env vars through to the generated headset bookmark URL and OOB's own recovery-grace calculation, so both sides agree on the client's retry budget. OOB never sets reconnectEnabled itself - that stays entirely the client's own concern (its own default, a URL param typed directly, or the 2D debug UI checkbox). Rebased onto main after #1142 (this branch's original base) was squash-merged under a new SHA; squashed from the original 10-commit history to avoid replaying commits whose content already landed on main through that squash merge. …XR, with anticipatory reliability-branch coverage Real-browser integration tests for run_oob_connect(), standardized on MockCloudXR (npm run build:app-mock) rather than the real @nvidia/cloudxr SDK, always against a static production build (never a dev-server, to avoid webpack HMR module-duplication and React.StrictMode double-session bugs found during development). Each of the three connection-phase watchdogs (stream-attach, warm-up-begin, warm-up-end) calls cxrSession.disconnect() before dispatching a synthetic recoverable StreamingError through onStreamStopped, to get the same bounded-retry treatment a real stream error gets. But disconnect() can invoke onStreamStopped(undefined) synchronously as its own side effect (confirmed via MockCloudXR, which mirrors the real SDK here) - that clean-stop call reaches onStreamStopped first, reports 'Disconnected', and (under App.tsx's default autoRefreshMode) triggers a full page reload before the watchdog's own synthetic-error call - meant to drive the retry - ever runs. Guard it with a suppressNextCleanStopRef set only around each watchdog's own disconnect() call, checked at the top of onStreamStopped: an error-less callback while the guard is set is swallowed, letting only the watchdog's deliberate synthetic-error call reach the retry logic. A real user-triggered or SDK-triggered clean stop (the guard unset) is unaffected. Also fixes a now-inaccurate comment in StreamAttachTimeoutTest.tsx that documented the double-fire this change eliminates. Found by CodeRabbit on PR #1145; verified by running the existing StreamAttachTimeoutTest.spec.js Playwright test before and after this change - the "Disconnected" status entries this bug injects into every retry are gone from statusMessages after the fix. That spec still fails overall on an unrelated, pre-existing assertion (streamingMetricsFired- DuringWarmup), reproduced identically on unmodified main - out of scope for this fix. The real call site now also passes resolved_port/usb_local/host_client/on_terminal_error, so both fakes raised TypeError. Add **_kwargs, matching the other attach() fakes in this file that already absorb the full current signature. Confirmed: full tests/python/core/cloudxr/ run was 473/475 before this fix (these two failing), both now pass with the rest of the suite unaffected. Includes anticipatory tests written against #1145/#1146 before they merged, so they fail cleanly until those branches land. Design/decisions are in oob-real-browser-integration-test-plan.md. Rebased onto #1147's current tip (gmorgan/MockADB) after #1147's own history was rewritten by its rebase onto main; squashed from the original 7-commit history to avoid replaying commits whose content already landed on #1147 under different SHAs.
