Hand Rolled PHP Data Mapper Classes

Abstract superclasses using mysqli for quick and dirty database access.

Example:

create table pages (
  id int(11) auto_increment primary key not null,
  title varchar(255),
  body text
);

<?php
  require 'model.php';
  require 'mapper.php';

  class Page extends Model {
    protected function mapper() {
      return new PageMapper();
    }
  }

  class PageMapper extends Mapper {
    function table_name() {
      return 'pages';
    }

    functon do_create_object( $array ) {
      $page = new Page();
      $page->set_fields( $array );
      return $page;
    }
  }
?>

With just the above, you can now do fun things like this:

  $page = new Page();
  $page->title( 'A Great Page' );
  $page->body( 'Some Body Text' );
  $page->save();

?>

and this:

$pm = new PageMapper();
$pages = $pm->find_all();

or this:

$page = $pm->find_one_by( 'title', 'A Great Page' );

or even this:

$page = $pm->find_one_by_sql( "body like '%Text'" );
