What happened
When playing SBS video on XREAL Air 2 Pro, head tracking is detected but the rotational axes are not all handled correctly:
- Yaw / left-right head movement works correctly.
- Pitch / looking up and down is detected, but the direction is reversed.
- Roll / tilting the head toward either shoulder does not appear to be detected at all.
The SBS image itself appears visually correct.
What you expected
I expected all three rotational axes to track correctly:
- Turning left/right should move the view correctly.
- Looking up/down should move the view in the matching direction.
- Tilting the head left/right should produce corresponding roll movement.
Steps to reproduce
- Connect XREAL Air 2 Pro to the phone by USB-C and open NeoXR.
- Play an SBS video and enable head tracking.
- Turn head left/right: yaw works correctly.
- Look up/down: pitch tracking works, but is inverted.
- Tilt head toward either shoulder: no roll movement is detected.
Setup
- NeoXR version (shown next to the app name in the main menu): 1.5
- Glasses model and firmware: XREAL Air 2 Pro, latest firmware
- Phone model and Android version: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Android 16
- Video source: local file
