The Windows ROCm scripts install bitsandbytes
0.50.0.dev0, butrequirements-cuda.txtpinsbitsandbytes==0.49.1andcreate.pypassesblock_wise=andpercentile_clipping=to every bnb optimizer.0.50removed both arguments, so AdamW8bit and the other bnb optimizers raise TypeError at training startup. This points
install-rocm.bat,update-rocm.batand theREADME.mdat the0.49.1build of the same ROCm Windows wheel, which matches the pin exactly. It covers HIP 7.13 through 7.16 and the same architectures as the 0.50 wheels. Verified on Windows with HIP 7.16: 4-bit linear, 8-bit linear and an 8-bit optimizer step all run.The same change is proposed for the StabilityMatrix profile in LykosAI/StabilityMatrix#1723.
