release: publish and smoke-test the first usable CybORG adapter release #24

Description

@Brad-Edwards

Objective

Publish the first release that a researcher can install and use for the documented CAGE-2 workflow.

Scope

  • Verify the Release Please version/changelog PR includes the CybORG adapter, command surface, example links, limitations, and source attribution.
  • Build reproducible wheel/sdist artifacts with the intended cyborg optional dependency profile.
  • Validate metadata, README rendering, licenses/notices, package data, imports, command entry points, RAES pin, and simulator resolution.
  • Publish through the existing OIDC Trusted Publishing path.
  • From the public index, install raes-adapters[cyborg] in a clean supported environment and run adapter inspection, a short example episode, artifact validation, and conformance smoke.
  • Record the exact package/source/pack identities used by the researcher quickstart.
  • Keep the example environment pack in its repository content boundary unless explicitly packaged by a later decision.

Acceptance criteria

  • The released wheel/sdist and public metadata contain the intended RAES identity and no retired identity.
  • Clean public-index installation resolves the supported CybORG profile.
  • The README quickstart completes against the released version.
  • Conformance smoke and portable-output leakage checks pass from the installed artifact.
  • Release checksums, attestations, source/profile pins, known limitations, and rollback/yank guidance are published.
  • main and dev are resynchronized through the governed reviewed back-merge.
  • No claim exceeds the conformance and reproduction evidence retained by the milestone.
  • Tests are updated for the implemented behavior and the relevant targeted/native plus canonical verification commands are actually run and pass before acceptance.
