IBD is a semantic code diff tool that understands what changed structurally, not just which lines were modified. It parses source code into ASTs, compares them recursively, and reports high-level changes like "function added", "parameter removed", "class renamed", or "import changed". This makes it ideal for code review, changelog generation, and refactoring verification.
