Arteon Tools is a platform with free tools for everyday work on files, numbers, colours and text. You can convert a photo from your phone to JPG, turn centimetres into pixels for print, check whether the colours on your website are easy to read or build an email signature for Gmail and Outlook. Every tool is available in eight languages and works the moment you open the page.
Photos, documents and texts you put into my tools are processed by your own browser and stay on your computer. You can use every tool as many times as you want, and every feature is open to everyone from the first visit.
My name is Oskar Wiktor and I run Arteon, my own company based in Poland. I design websites, e-commerce stores and graphics, and I do SEO. I use tools like these every day in my own work, and most of the ones I kept finding were painfully outdated. They load slowly, need a few clicks to do a simple conversion, show aggressive pop-up ads or simply look like they were made a decade ago - because they were. In the age of AI I find that hard to accept. We have artificial intelligence, and you get a kilometres to metres calculator that takes forever to load and needs two clicks.
The second reason is privacy. Many popular converters send your file to their server, convert it there and send it back. For a holiday photo that may be fine. For a scanned ID card, a signed contract or a company invoice it is a completely different story. That is why I built every tool so the file is processed on your device from start to finish.
What you put into a tool stays with you.
Every page is generated in advance as a static page, so it opens quickly. The tools themselves run in the browser. Images are processed with the browser's own canvas, and for formats such as AVIF, HEIC and PDF I use open-source libraries that also run on your device.
The stack:
- Next.js and React
- TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS
- Vercel
The source code is private for security reasons. This repository is the public home of the project, where you can find a description, a map of the tools and a place for bug reports and ideas.
Here you convert photos and graphics between JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, SVG, TIFF, BMP, GIF and PDF. You can also resize and crop an image or turn a logo into a favicon.
This category converts CSV, XML, YAML, Markdown and HTML to other formats. It also covers data size units such as KB, MB and GB, Unix time and number systems.
These converters switch length, weight and volume between metric and imperial units.
Here you turn centimetres, millimetres, inches, feet and metres into pixels at the DPI your project needs. Designers and developers will also find pt, rem, em and pica conversions.
This category counts words and characters, checks the length of a meta title and description and generates Lorem Ipsum.
Here you check colour contrast against WCAG, generate a colour palette, pull colours out of an image and convert between HEX, RGB and CMYK.
This category builds company materials: an email signature for Gmail and Outlook and a QR code for a website, a business card or print.
I add new tools all the time and publish a new batch every Tuesday. Everything is tested on my side first, and each Tuesday I release the tools that are ready.
What I am working on:
- More advanced text tools. I am building them right now.
- Tools for private documents and PDF files. Privacy matters to me enormously, and documents are exactly where it matters most. A contract, an invoice or a scanned ID card should be processed on your computer and stay there.
- New measurement categories and more converters in the ones that already exist.
- Phone support for the larger tools. The image editor, the favicon generator and the email signature generator are still built for bigger screens, and I will make them comfortable on phones too.
Open an issue. Tell me which tool you used, what you did, what you expected to happen and which browser you were on. That is enough for me to reproduce the problem and fix it.
If a tool you need is missing, open an issue as well and describe what it should do. You can also write to me through the contact page.
