By utilising this program, you will be able to broadcast your Rich Presence status through your Discord client. This feature enables other users to view, in real time, the specific activity you are currently engaged in, such as playing a game or using an application. Rich Presence is a functionality provided by Discord that enhances user interaction, as it offers additional details about the activity, including progress, duration, and, in some cases, interactive options for joining or spectating. This creates a more immersive and connected experience within the Discord platform.

⚠️ - Software Requirements

• Windows 8 (or higher)
• Discord Account
• Discord Client installed
• Discord Developer Account
• Discord (Developer) Application

🚩 - Preparation

Discord sign up

1. Head over to Discord’s official website
2. Create yourself an account
3. Download and install the Discord client

Create a Discord developer application

1. Open up the Discord Developer Portal
2. Sign in with your personal discord account
3. Click on the button labelled: ‘New Application’
4. Enter an application name e.g. ‘RPC-Server’
5. Agree to Discords ToS and policy
6. (Optional) Enter a description to help yourself identify the application later on
7. Click on ‘Rich Presence’
8. (Optional) Upload images to your desire if you want to show them in your Rich Presence
9. Click on ‘General Information’
10. Copy your Application ID and paste it into a text document

Download the program

1. Head over to my website
2. Click on ‘Download (Win 64-Bit)’
3. Save the ZIP-Archive DiscordRPC_release.zip in your desired location

Unzipping the program

1. Open up your file explorer and head over to the ZIP-Archive
2. Double-click the archive to open it
3. Click on ‘Extract all’
4. Choose a location on your Computer where the program should be saved e.g. C:\Program Files\RPC Server\

💿 - Setup

1. Open up the executable in your directory called Discord RPC Server.exe
2. Enter the setup mode by typing setup into the command prompt and hitting the enter key
3. You’ll be asked a few questions, answer them as follows:
   1. Enter your Discord Application ID
   2. The next questions must be answered by your interests

⏯️ - Test Application

1. Type start into the command prompt and hit enter
2. Check your Discord client if the Rich Presence is visible

🧩 - Program Arguments

Argument	Effect
autostart	Automatically starts displaying your Rich Presence (Program must be setup!)
reset	Resets the application to factory defaults
