👋 About me

I am an automotive and embedded software architect with 11+ years of experience building production basic software (BSW) for global OEM programs, with work associated with Honda, Renault, BMW and JLR. My technical foundation includes AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive, embedded architecture, configuration and integration, communication and memory stacks, RTE/MCAL interfaces, diagnostics and software validation.

But I don't want my engineering identity to stop at one industry. Embedded systems are a deep foundation for me—not a boundary. I want to apply that systems mindset across electronics and compute platforms, firmware, software platforms, developer tools and UIs, automation, AI agents, testing, and complete engineering lifecycle solutions. Emerging compute—including quantum software/tooling—is a longer-horizon learning and research frontier.

How can we turn complex engineering into reusable tools and workflows that are easier to understand, build, automate, test, explain and improve?

🧭 The wider engineering landscape

This is a map of current interests and future directions—not a claim of expertise in every listed technology or that every capability already exists in one product. I aim to show progress through working code, tests, demos, documentation and clearly stated limitations.

🧰 Technical foundation

  • Embedded architecture: AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, BSW, RTE, ComStack/MemStack concepts, MCAL interfaces, ECU configuration and integration.
  • Diagnostics and validation: UDS / ISO 14229, bootloader and OTA concepts, HIL/SIL automation, integration testing and fault investigation.
  • Engineering automation: Python tooling, XML/ARXML handling, model transformations, code/configuration generation and workflow automation.
  • Languages and interfaces: C/C++, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Rust, XML/ARXML, APIs, CLIs and user-facing engineering interfaces.
  • AI-assisted engineering: local-first retrieval, evidence-grounded knowledge workflows, tool-using agents, reusable skills, evaluation sets and reviewable changes.

🔎 More public work

My public repositories also include experiments and ecosystem work around ARXML viewers/editors, automotive data models, diagnostics, bootloader concepts and broader open-source tooling. Some repositories are forks or upstream-based explorations, not original products. Please check each repository's fork status and upstream links to understand provenance and changes made. I value attribution and upstream collaboration over claiming ownership of other maintainers' work.

🛠️ What I want to build

  • Engineering workbenches: robust editors, visualizers, configurators, model browsers and debugging interfaces—not just attractive UI prototypes.
  • Trusted automation: tools that inspect existing workflows, reuse what works, make controlled changes, and provide logs, tests and reviewable diffs.
  • AI engineering agents and skills: tools with bounded permissions, project context, repeatable evaluations and human approval before consequential operations.
  • Reusable validation infrastructure: parsers, rule adapters, static checks, simulation hooks, test harnesses, regression suites and evidence reports.
  • End-to-end engineering solutions: connect requirements, models, source, builds, simulation, tests, release evidence and maintenance.
  • Cross-domain applications: adapt proven engineering patterns across electronics, embedded systems, industrial control, robotics, aerospace, IoT, energy, communications and scientific instrumentation where the problem fits.

🔁 End-to-end engineering lifecycle

Problem / Need

This lifecycle can be adapted to firmware, electronic-system workflows, desktop utilities, web applications, robotics, simulations and AI-enabled tools. Implementation varies; interfaces, repeatability, tests, observability and evidence remain valuable.

🔭 Future direction

Five-stage roadmap from reliable foundations through reusable tools, controlled AI workflows, end-to-end engineering and emerging compute exploration

  1. Strengthen foundations: reproducible setup, clear documentation, tests, CI, support matrices and license/provenance checks.
  2. Ship useful tools: parsers, editors, visual interfaces, generators, validators, APIs, CLIs, plugins and integration adapters.
  3. Build controlled AI workflows: tool-using agents and reusable skills with explicit permissions, logs, evaluations and risk-based human approval.
  4. Connect the lifecycle: traceable paths from requirements and models to implementation, build, verification, release and maintenance evidence.
  5. Explore new compute thoughtfully: edge AI, heterogeneous systems, digital twins, neuromorphic concepts and quantum software/tooling through research and prototypes.

Quantum is a long-horizon exploration area, not a claim of current quantum-computing expertise. The near-term focus is to build solid engineering fundamentals and release useful, testable tools in the open.

🤝 Open to collaboration

I welcome contributors across embedded software, electronics-facing tools, UI/UX, parsers and toolchains, automation, AI/ML, agent skills, testing, simulation, security, documentation and open-source maintenance—including people exploring areas outside my current experience.

Contribution ideas:

  • Reproduce a bug, clarify expected behavior or improve a setup guide.
  • Add unit, integration, property-based, regression or end-to-end tests.
  • Improve accessibility, UI flows, developer experience, error messages or documentation.
  • Build a parser, format adapter, generator, visualizer, CLI, plugin or API integration.
  • Add an AI-agent tool or reusable skill with tests, narrow permissions and clear failure behavior.
  • Improve CI, evaluation methodology, traceability, reproducible builds or validation evidence.
  • Review architecture, identify useful interfaces or contribute improvements upstream.

A good first contribution has a reproducible issue, clear acceptance criteria and a test or documentation improvement. I want these projects to welcome learners and experienced maintainers alike.

🧭 Engineering principles

  • Useful before impressive: solve a real problem and make the result reproducible.
  • Evidence over hype: show tests, demos, evaluation methods, constraints and limitations.
  • Clear capability boundaries: distinguish implemented, experimental, planned and unavailable features.
  • Human oversight: keep permissions, verification and review explicit for consequential changes.
  • Interoperability over lock-in: prefer documented interfaces, portable builds and replaceable components.
  • Responsible open source: credit maintainers, follow licenses, protect confidential material and contribute upstream where appropriate.

📫 Connect

I am interested in building practical engineering tools, automating difficult workflows, developing trustworthy AI assistants, improving validation, and connecting layers of technology into solutions people can reproduce, inspect and extend.

Open engineering across electronics, embedded systems, software tools, automation, AI and verification—with curiosity for what comes next.
