A remote Model Context Protocol server that lets any MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, and others) plan a project from PinoyFreeCoder's curated catalogs. Describe what you want to build — for example, "Build me a SMS SaaS platform" — and it searches the GitHub Finds and Public APIs directories, then returns matched open-source repos, relevant APIs, and a suggested cost-efficient tech stack. Your AI writes the code; this server supplies the building blocks.
No authentication, no API key, and no server-side LLM cost: the tool only searches and ranks the existing bundled data.

Streamable HTTP transport. The handler serves every request at this path; it does not require session state.
One command registers the server across all your projects:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user pinoyfreecoder https://pinoyfreecoder.com/api/mcpDrop --scope user to add it only to the current project.
Add the server to claude_desktop_config.json
(Settings → Developer → Edit Config), then restart Claude:
{
"mcpServers": {
"pinoyfreecoder": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://pinoyfreecoder.com/api/mcp"
}
}
}Add the server to .cursor/mcp.json in your project (or the global config),
then reload:
{
"mcpServers": {
"pinoyfreecoder": {
"url": "https://pinoyfreecoder.com/api/mcp"
}
}
}Point it at https://pinoyfreecoder.com/api/mcp. No credentials are required.
The primary tool. Give it a project idea and it returns matched repos, APIs, and a suggested stack.

Matches are scored by weighted keyword hits — name matches count most, then categories, then description — plus a small bonus for the cheapest options to run: no-auth APIs and self-hosted repos. Domain words that don't appear literally in the data (for example, "SMS", "payments", "dashboard") are expanded to related categories so broad prompts still surface useful results.
Calls are rate limited per client origin (fixed window). When the limit is reached, tools return a plain "rate limit reached, try again in N seconds" message rather than an error.
Results come from PinoyFreeCoder's curated catalogs:
- GitHub Finds — hand-picked open-source projects.
- Public APIs — a local snapshot of the community
public-apis/public-apisdirectory (see public-apis-directory.md for how it is refreshed).
Badges (auth, https, cors) reflect the source at import time, not live
checks. Verify current pricing, availability, and requirements with each
provider before building.
