Free AI audit: how findable is your LinkedIn profile when a headhunter searches for a Group CIO or Global CIO?
You get a 0-100 score, a "5-second recruiter test", the search queries you would (or would not) show up for, and concrete rewrites of your headline and About section. It uses only what is publicly visible on your profile - exactly what a recruiter sees.
No coding needed. If you can copy and paste, you can run this.
Paste your LinkedIn URL, and the audit returns:
- A Candidate SEO score out of 100 with a verdict (GREEN = highly findable, down to DARK RED = high risk of being missed)
- A recruiter verdict - would you surface for a Group CIO mandate, and can a recruiter classify you in 5-10 seconds?
- A scorecard across 7 components (headline, keywords, role history, scope signals, About, identity focus, profile hygiene)
- The 5-second test - what a headhunter concludes from a first skim
- 5 realistic recruiter searches and whether you would match them
- Section-by-section diagnostics - Keep / Improve / Critical
- Your top 5 highest-impact changes, ranked
- A rewritten headline and About opening, based only on your real history - no invented titles or numbers
- Open the file `SKILL.md` here on GitHub (click the name).
- Click the copy button at the top right of the file (two overlapping squares), or select all the text and copy it.
- Go to claude.ai and start a new chat.
- Paste the whole text, then add one line at the end: `Run this audit on my profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/YOUR-NAME/\`
- Send. Claude follows the instructions and delivers the full audit.
Tip: your public LinkedIn URL is on your profile page under "Contact info" or in your browser's address bar. Make sure your profile is set to public, otherwise Claude can only audit what search engines show.
A "skill" is a saved instruction set Claude can reuse in any conversation, so you don't paste anything twice.
- Download this repository: green Code button (top right of this page) -> Download ZIP -> unzip it.
- In Claude, go to Settings -> Capabilities/Skills (naming varies by plan) and upload the unzipped folder containing `SKILL.md`.
- In any new chat, ask: "Audit my LinkedIn profile for CIO searches" and give your URL.
If you don't see a skills option in settings, your plan may not support custom skills yet - Option 1 works everywhere.
```bash git clone https://github.com/PiotrPy/linkedin-cio-candidate-seo.git ~/.claude/skills/linkedin-cio-candidate-seo ```
Or copy the folder into your project at `.claude/skills/linkedin-cio-candidate-seo/`. Then invoke it with `/linkedin-cio-candidate-seo` plus your profile URL.
The instructions are written for Claude but are plain English. You can paste `SKILL.md` plus your profile URL into another capable AI assistant - results will vary, and the scoring was designed and tested with Claude.
| File | What it is |
|---|---|
| `SKILL.md` | The audit instructions the AI follows - this is the tool |
| `references/rubric.md` | The detailed 0-100 scoring rubric (how every point is earned) |
- The audit is an evidence-based proxy for how recruiters search and screen. It does not use LinkedIn Recruiter and does not know LinkedIn's ranking algorithm - nobody outside LinkedIn does.
- It only sees your public profile. If your settings hide sections, the score reflects that (which is itself useful information - recruiters see the same).
- It will never advise you to invent titles, budgets, or achievements to score higher. A profile that lies scores zero with a human recruiter anyway.
- Scores can vary slightly between runs - AI judgment is not a measuring instrument. Treat the diagnostics and rewrites as the real value, the number as the headline.
