BaseHalf 0.4.0 - New VS Code Foundation

BaseHalf now runs on a full VS Code foundation while keeping the BaseHalf product shape:

• Canvas-first workflow: folders open as canvases, files open as cards, and the right side remains the Agent Area.
• Native editor, search, and source control infrastructure: this release adopts VS Code's editor core, Git/SCM, search, extension host, update, notification, and command foundations where they make the product stronger.
• Agent Area sessions: TUI Codex, TUI Claude Code, VS Code extension Codex, VS Code extension Claude Code, and Terminal remain the five first-class session choices.
• Curated extension path: Codex and Claude Code extension sessions install through the curated extension flow and update through the VS Code extension machinery.
• Compatible self-update path: existing 0.3.x users receive this release through the signed in-app update feed.

New Installs

Download the DMG, drag BaseHalf into Applications, then run this once before first launch:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/BaseHalf.app

The app is not Apple-notarized yet. The update payload itself is still protected by BaseHalf's signed update manifest and archive verification.

BaseHalf 0.2.1 - Folder Opening Fixed, Installer Explains Itself

The dmg now opens onto branded art: drag-to-Applications instruction
(with the arrow between the real icon positions), and the one-time
first-launch terminal command printed right in the installer instead
of only in release notes. Background is a 1x+2x pair electron-builder
merges into a retina TIFF; regeneration pipeline in build/README.md.
