Add data and scripts

Hi @mmcky and @Jiarui-ZH,

In order to get all the data, let's plan to:

• migrate all the static data from lecture-python-intro repo to this data/static
• Add data of the failing lectures from https://github.com/kp992/intro-wasm-demo/issues to data/dynamic. Also, to download and save this data, let's add all the relevant python scripts to scripts/ folder. Later, we can use all these scripts to update the data periodically.
• Update all the paths in all the lectures of lecture-python-intro

Status — 2026-07-16

This issue is the Feb 2025 repoint that never happened, and it is finally moving. Flagging it here because the work is being executed under the consolidation project (QuantEcon/meta#336) rather than directly against this checklist.

• The static data migrated here in Feb 2025 is now in the published tree — Flatten the consumer-keyed tree into the published layout #10 restructures the consumer-keyed layout (lecture-python-intro/{static,dynamic}/) into a flat lectures/, with scripts/ outside it. In review.
• The first repoint is built — P1 pilot: add lingcod_msy_recovery.csv with its manifest #12 (lingcod + its manifest) → P1 pilot: read lingcod data from data-lectures lecture-python-intro#792 (the lecture reading it from here). This is pilot P1 of PLAN: pilot migration — one dataset per hosting pattern to validate the datasets design meta#338, and it is the first lecture anywhere to reference this repo.
• Three of the migrated files are dropped rather than repointed — the two World Bank CSVs return zero references org-wide, and fig_3.ods was verified a pure format twin of fig_3.xlsx (identical single sheet, identical 34×6 frame). Dropped in Flatten the consumer-keyed tree into the published layout #10 rather than promoted into the canonical namespace; recoverable from git history.

The remaining repoints (the 8 static intro files consumed by long_run_growth, inflation_history, french_rev) follow the pilot — they are mechanical once P1 proves the convention, and are tracked as PLAN Phase 9.

Closing — the repoint this issue asked for in Feb 2025 is done, executed under QuantEcon/meta#336 rather than against this checklist. As of the 2026-08-31 audit run, all 40 static datasets consumed by the lecture series are migrated here and every consumer reads them from data-lectures (https://quantecon.github.io/data-lectures/). The dynamic-data half of the original ask — scripts that refresh snapshots periodically — is Track E, tracked in PLAN.md Phase 5/8 and #14.
